Step Into a 1950s Holiday Cocktail Lounge at Tinsel & Martinis in the Gaslamp

The Wild Hare Bar Garden at the Hilton San Diego Gaslamp Quarter is getting dressed up for the holidays, and it’s not messing around.

For the full holiday stretch, the outdoor space transforms into Tinsel & Martinis – a 1950s-inspired hotel bar lounge draped in burgundy velvet, antique brass, and enough warm candlelight to make any night feel like an occasion. The theme is old-school hotel glamour, and the execution is committed.

Velvet Sconces, Martini Centerpieces, and a Champagne Tower

The décor is the kind you want to sit inside. Velvet bows dress the sconces, martini-glass centerpieces anchor the tables, and a full champagne tower holds court in the middle of it all. Add in the warm candlelight and communal tables built for lingering, and you’ve got a space that’s easy to settle into – and hard to leave on time.

Whether you pull up to the bar or take a table, the room does a lot of the work.

A Cocktail Menu Built Around the Concept

The drink menu was developed for the pop-up, with seasonal cocktails designed to match the vintage-glamour setting. It’s not a retrofitted bar with holiday decorations tacked on – the whole thing was built with the era in mind. Order something with a name and let the room match it.

The “Cheers Darling” Photo Wall

The gold tinsel backdrop glowing with “Cheers Darling” is the kind of photo wall that earns its place. Great light, strong copy, and a message that fits the moment. Whether you’re there with a group or making it a date night, this one’s easy to build a plan around.

See you there!

Tinsel & Martinis runs through New Year’s Eve, and the Gaslamp in December fills up fast. Make it a plan.
