The Avenue Fish & Oyster Company Coming to Coronado in January
Coronado’s next big thing is on the horizon. Blue Bridge Hospitality, the masterminds behind some of our favorite island eateries like Stake Chophouse & Bar and Little Frenchie, are reeling in a brand-new concept.
They’re transforming The Islander into The Avenue Fish & Oyster Company, and we’re already hooked!
Set to make a splash as early as January 2025, this new hotspot is all about celebrating Coronado’s rich history while serving up some seriously fresh seafood. The name pays homage to two local legends—the old C&10th Fish Company and “The Avenue,” that gift shop we all loved back in the day.
A Tide of Talent
Blue Bridge isn’t messing around when it comes to the kitchen crew. They’ve netted Paul Arias as executive chef, a guy who’s been making waves in San Diego’s culinary scene for years.
With over a decade at The Fishery under his belt and some time learning from farm-to-table pioneer Jeff Jackson, Arias knows his stuff.
Chef Matt Sramek is joining the party as corporate executive chef. Together, these two are cooking up a storm with a menu that’ll take your taste buds on a global voyage. We’re talking everything from raw and grilled oysters to land-and-sea creations that’ll knock your flip-flops off.
Dive into the Design
The Avenue Fish & Oyster Company isn’t just about the food—it’s a full-on experience. The space is awash in blues, lilacs, and seafoam greens, reminiscent of gentle waves. The vibe? Coastal chic meets art nouveau, creating the perfect backdrop for your next Instagram-worthy meal.
See you there!
The Avenue Fish & Oyster Company is dropping anchor at 1015 Orange Ave, Coronado.
They’ll be serving up lunch and dinner on weekdays, with a special brunch menu for your weekend cravings. The bar is equally impressive—featuring bubbles, whites, and cocktails that’ll have you feeling like you’re on a permanent vacation.
