Your Guide To This Week’s North County Concerts

There’s more music than you can handle in North County this weekend. Just kidding—we know you’ll manage.

John January & Linda Berry – 6/9

Aztec Brewing Company

John January & Linda Berry play good ol’ rock and roll with a side of blues. You may even catch some funk out of the duo from time to time.

Kick back with a craft beer and let the electric chemistry between John and Linda ease you into your weekend.

Toby Keith – 6/10

San Diego County Fair

Del Mar

If you’re a country fan, you know Toby Keith is a staple of the genre. Need more convincing? He has won multiple awards from the American Music Awards, Academy of Country Music, American Country Awards and the British and American Country Music Associations.

Not to mention, in 2009, Billboard named him Country Artist Of The Decade. Yeah, you can’t get much better than that.

Get down to the fair for your country education.

40 Oz. to Freedom and Red Not Chili Peppers – 6/10

The Belly Up

Solana Beach

The ‘90s provided us with two bands with two distinct sounds and followings: Sublime and The Red Hot Chili Peppers. And the love for these two groups didn’t end with the decade.

Now, you can catch the premiere tribute bands for each of these ‘90s wonders in one amazing night. This might be the only chance you have to feel good even when you feel bad. Take that walk.

San Marcos Summer Music Fest – 6/10

Walnut Grove Park and Barn

San Marcos

Celebrate local music and local brews in your neighborhood park—head down to Walnut Grove and hear what your fellow San Diegans have been cooking up.

The Lineup:

SPF 949 – 6/11

Junior Seau Oceanside Pier Amphitheatre

Summer is in full swing at the Oceanside Pier Amphitheater. Sun, surf, songs and sand sounds like nothing but a good time to us.

$2 of every SPF 949 ticket sold will be donated to Pearl Jam’s Vitalogy Foundation, and funds will benefit Surfrider Foundation San Diego. Helping out a good cause while listening to good tunes? All right!
