The Gigantic Party Under The San Diego-Coronado Bridge Is Back! Celebrate Chicano Park DayArts & Culture
If you haven’t been to the Barrio Logan park that undoubtedly catches your eye as you drive by… now is your chance.
Chicano Park is celebrating its 47th anniversary with a celebration of epic proportions!
Held on Saturday, April 22nd under the San Diego-Coronado bridge, this year’s party will be packed with traditional music and dance, including one of the most unique performances of Aztec Indigenous dance, coordinated by Danza Azteca Calpulli Mexihca.
The event will also include performances by Ballet Folklórico groups, Mariachi, live bands and speakers representing the Chicano Park Steering Committee, Brown Berets de Aztlán, Amigos Car Club, and Via International.
There will be a children’s art workshop, various informational booths, and food, arts and crafts vendors selling their specialties throughout the park.
Top it all off with an awesome display of classic lowrider cars presented by Amigos Car Club, and you’ve got yourself a Saturday of greatness!
This family event is free and open to the public. All you have to do is show up!
