Join A Star Wars Set Design Workshop Taught By The Oscar Winner Himself
Oceanside’s annual celebration of the cinematic arts, better known as the Oceanside International Film Festival, takes places on Sunday, August 6th through Sunday, August 13th.
In honor of the 40th anniversary of “Star Wars,” the festival will praise the set designer who helped bring the film to life: Alan Roderick-Jones.
Most famous for his Oscar-winning work on “Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope” (1977), Alan has also contributed Oscar-winning talent to “Nicholas and Alexandria” (1971), and has won four Cleo Awards for his art direction in the world of commercials.
Alan will be receiving the annual lifetime achievement award at the Oceanside Film Festival this year, and will also be hosting a special Star Wars set design workshop on Saturday, August 12th.
All events are open to the public. Just hurry, because this workshop will sell out fast.
This is your chance to meet this amazing man!
There are two ticket options that will get you access to the set design workshop:
- $50 Regular Festival Access (access to screenings on any or all days, Aug 7ht through 12th (six days worth of films!), and access to Star Wars Set Design Workshop)
