7 Gorgeous San Diego Venues to Host Your Holiday Party

It feels like it was just summer. Then suddenly, all we see is Christmas! If you`re planning on throwing a holiday party, time is running out and you need to get cracking. Lucky for you, we’ve compiled a list of unique San Diego holiday party venues perfect for your dream holiday partaay!

No more worries about your apartment being too small, or if there’s no place for the chic winter soiree you’re imagining between the couch and kitchenette. We’ve got you covered!

1. Sbicca

First up in our list of San Diego holiday party venues is Sbicca is located just steps from the water in Del Mar. The farm-fresh menu, amazing wine list and intimate setting make Sbicca the perfect place for a holiday party with friends or co-workers.

Sbicca has multiple areas perfect for private events. Our opinion is that the best is the ocean-view deck upstairs. If you decide that Sbicca is the right place for your party, make sure to treat your guests to the bread pudding!

2. Barleymash

If you and your guests like beer and bourbon, then Barleymash is for you!. Located in the Gaslamp, they offer private events which you can theme with an all-inclusive venue makeover.

Services include custom flower arrangements and linens, event photographers, custom graphic art and a list of killer DJ’s.

3. Brockton Villa

Brockton Villa was originally a charming beach cottage built way back in 1884. It was converted into a restaurant in 1991 and has been a seaside hotspot ever since.

You can’t beat the location here, with totally amazing views of La Jolla Cove. Private parties are hosted in the “mud room,” a dining room with a wrap-around veranda. Due to it’s size, this is the perfect location for a sweet and intimate “friendsgiving.”

4. Farmer and the Seahorse

Farmer and the Seahorse is located at the Alexandria Hotel at Torrey Pines. Headed up by award-winning celebrity-chef Brian Malarkey, the food is to-die-for.

Combining the best from local farmers and fresh catch from the Pacific, Farmer and the Seahorse is the epitome of “farm to table” (or sea to table, if you’d like). They’re open for banquets and private events.

5. Belly Up Tavern

The Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach is an awesome venue for a larger holiday party. They can accommodate up to 600 for a cocktail reception and up to 350 for a dinner.

The Belly Up has an amazing stage for concerts. Although on the pricier side, the facility fee includes your personal marquee message, up to 10 hours of venue use, full-staff and in-house AV.

If you want to book at the Belly Up, remember all your guests must be over 21 years old!

6. The University Club Atop Symphony Towers

If you want to get really fancy in choosing one of San Diego holiday party venues, check out The University Club Atop Symphony Towers. Located on the 34th floor of one of San Diego’s tallest buildings – it boasts on of the most beautiful views of our city.

The best part – your private event director handles all the details to make sure that your event goes off without a hitch.

7. Luce Loft

Luce Loft is a remodeled industrial building in downtown San Diego. This open space is perfect for an intimate party. Inside, it has a modern-factory look with concrete floors and walls, exposed duct work and bare lightbulbs.

If that’s not your favorite style – fear not! The great thing about this minimalist design and neutral colors is that it allows for you to easily create any look you desire.

Although it may not feel like winter in San Diego, the holiday season is well underway. It`s a time for celebrating with family and friends and enjoying the cheerful atmosphere.

See you there, San Diego!
