Twilight in the Park is Back for its 45th Year – and Every Concert is Free

If you’ve lived in San Diego long enough, you know Twilight in the Park. It’s one of those summer constants that just makes the city feel like home. Free live music three nights a week at Spreckels Organ Pavilion in Balboa Park, with warm evenings, good company, and zero reason not to go.

This summer marks 45 years of it, and it’s still one of the best things going on in the city all season long.

Twilight in the Park Concert Series

Show Up and Settle In

Pack a picnic, grab your people, and find a good spot. Every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evening, the pavilion fills up with an hour of live music from some seriously fun acts. The setting does a lot of the work – there aren’t many places in San Diego that feel quite like Spreckels Organ Pavilion on a summer night – but the lineup holds its own, too.

Balboa Park brings back Twilight in the Park Concert Series

Something for Everyone

Rock and roll, jazz, country, soul, mariachi, tribute bands, orchestral performances – the range across the full summer is genuinely impressive.

June opens with military bands, soul revues, and rock acts that set the tone nicely. July is where things really open up – jazz orchestras, Latin sounds, tribute acts covering everyone from The Beatles to Santana, and a mix of local bands that keep the energy going all month.

August wraps the season strong with country, mariachi, big band, Afro-Caribbean grooves, and a closing night with the Bayou Brothers that feels like a proper send-off.

Thirty-five performances in total, and no two nights sound the same.

See you there!

Free live music, warm summer nights, and Balboa Park as your backdrop. This is peak San Diego and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

📆 Tuesday, June 16 – Thursday, August 27 | 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM
