“We are looking forward to our 56th season of the games,” says Larry Collins President of the California Police Athletic Federation. “Each year, the California Police Athletic Federation works to unite first responders and public safety personnel through encouraging health, wellness, and camaraderie. The annual games draw thousands of athletes from law enforcement, firefighters, emergency medical technicians, custom and correctional officers, as well as full-time employees (active and retired) of any eligible agency or organization in the capacity of 9-1-1 dispatchers, detention-custodial officers, crime scene investigators, or lifeguards.

Eligibility expanded and new events added for 2023

This year, USPFC expanded their eligibility requirements opening the games to volunteer and part time firefighters, reserve law enforcement officers and peace officers, in good standing, of an eligible agency with a minimum of two years’ service.

Participating San Diego first responders athletes from all departments get the opportunity to compete amongst their peers in a variety of Olympic-style games. In addition to the return of over 35 crowd-pleasing sporting events, this year’s games will also be adding an Air Pistol competition to the lineup.

CPAF is also proud to announce the picturesque venues of Torrey Pines, Aviara Golf Club, and Twin Oaks for the golf tournament.

Additionally, for the first time, the cycling events including Street Cycling and Mountain Bike Cycling will take place at Mammoth Mountain.
