Ilan-Lael Foundation Fall Tours: Take the Journey

Mark your calendars for the first three Fridays, Saturdays, and Mondays of October. They’ve got two tour times each day at 10 AM and 1 PM, perfect for early birds and those who like to sleep in a bit.

This place is a testament to Hubbell’s incredible vision. Built “from the earth up” over more than 20 years, it’s a living, breathing work of art.

Even after the 2003 Cedar Fire tried to take it down, Hubbell and his crew bounced back stronger than ever, rebuilding and improving the site with a little help from our amazing community.

More Than Just Pretty Buildings

Marianne Gerdes, the Executive Director, put it perfectly: “We’re not just preserving buildings, we’re keeping James Hubbell’s dream alive.”

This tour is our chance to dive deep into the magic of blending art, nature, and sustainable design. It’s like walking through Hubbell’s imagination!

Hubbell wasn’t just about creating beautiful things. He spent over 30 years building schools in Tijuana and even helped connect seven countries through the Pacific Rim Park project. Talk about leaving a mark on the world!
