Summer Surf Camps: Give Your Kids an Epic Beach Adventure

With summer around the corner, parents are searching for exciting ways to keep their kids active once school is out. Everyday California’s Surf Camps are the perfect mix of fun, adventure and skill-building that’ll have your little ones counting down the days until their next session.

Everyday California's Surf Camps

What Makes These Camps Special

We love that these week-long camps are designed for beginners and young surfers of all levels. No matter if your kid has never seen a surfboard up close or they’re already comfortable in the water, the expert instructors meet them exactly where they are.

All instructors are trained in CPR, first aid and lifeguarding, which gives us that peace of mind every parent needs when their kids are learning water sports.

The location couldn’t be better either. Kids spend their days at La Jolla Cove, which locals know as one of San Diego’s best beaches for beginners. The gentle waters provide the perfect learning environment where kids can build confidence without feeling overwhelmed by big waves or strong currents.

More Than Just Surfing

What we appreciate about Everyday California’s approach is that it’s not just about getting kids on boards. The camps blend surfing instruction with games, ocean safety education, and building water confidence.

Kids learn to read waves, understand currents, and develop a healthy respect for the ocean while having an absolute blast doing it.

These aren’t just surf lessons—they’re comprehensive programs that teach kids valuable life skills. The confidence they build in the water often translates to confidence on land, and the ocean safety knowledge they gain will serve them well for years to come.

Summer Schedule and Options

The camps run weekly through August 11, giving families plenty of flexibility to find sessions that work with their summer plans. You can choose between five half days or five full days, depending on your kid’s energy level and your schedule.

Prices start at $604 for the week, which we think is pretty reasonable for expert instruction, equipment, and memories that’ll last a lifetime.
