Explore Temecula Valley’s Barrel Art Trail, Where Wine Country Meets Public Art

Someone in Temecula looked at a pile of retired wine barrels and thought: art exhibit. And honestly? Correct. The Barrel Art Trail puts 42 one-of-a-kind sculptures at wineries and businesses across the valley – each one a retired barrel transformed by a local artist into something worth pulling over for.

It’s permanent, so there’s no rush, but there’s also no reason to wait.

The Temecula Valley Winegrowers Association and Visit Temecula Valley commissioned local artists to work with barrels that had already had a full career in the cellar. The results are now installed at nearly two dozen stops across the valley, no two alike. You can map the whole thing out, or just pick a direction and see what you find.
