Celebrate AAPI Heritage Month at ANIMAE: Specials by Chef Tara Monsod

Get ready for a culinary celebration at ANIMAE this May! In honor of AAPI Heritage Month, executive chef Tara Monsod, San Diego’s first James Beard Award Finalist, is offering a selection of mouthwatering specials from Monday, May 20, through Friday, May 31.

AAPI Heritage Month at ANIMAE

Chef Monsod (pictured below), known for her Asian-inspired à la carte menu, is adding two exceptional dishes that pay tribute to her Filipino roots: Cebuano lechon with pickled mustard seed, jus, peach salsa, and herbs, and grilled whole fish with fish sauce caramel.

To sweeten the deal, executive pastry chef Laura Warren is crafting a unique Thai tea tiramisu that promises to be the perfect finish to your meal.

Plus, a portion of the proceeds from these specials will benefit AAPI Women Lead, an inter-generational organization that strengthens the social and political power of AAPI communities through the leadership of AAPI women and girls in solidarity with other communities of color.

See you there!

Mark your calendars and celebrate AAPI Heritage Month at ANIMAE to enjoy these delectable dishes while supporting a fantastic cause!

Make reservations here.

See you there, San Diego!
