Ambrogio by Acquerello Snags Coveted Michelin Guide Spot

Foodies, it’s time to pop the Prosecco! Our very own Ambrogio by Acquerello in La Jolla has just scored a spot in the Michelin Guide. That’s right, we’re talking about the crème de la crème of culinary recognition, and it’s happening right in our backyard.

This isn’t just any old pat on the back—Ambrogio by Acquerello is the only San Diego restaurant to make it onto the Michelin Guide’s latest California lineup. Talk about putting us on the map!

They’re rubbing shoulders with 12 other newcomers across the Golden State, but let’s be real, we know who the star of the show is.

Milan Meets the Pacific

So, what’s all the fuss about? Ambrogio by Acquerello is serving up modern Italian cuisine. Think traditional Milanese flavors with a twist of Pacific Asian influence. It’s like your nonna’s cooking went on a world tour and came back cooler than ever.

The mastermind behind this culinary adventure? Owner Giacomo Pizzigoni, who’s clearly over the moon about the recognition. “This is a great milestone in our journey to bring a new style of Italian cuisine to California,” he says.

Translation: They’re just getting started, folks!

A Michelin-Worthy Experience

You’ve got a choice between a four or eight-course tasting menu. Each dish is like a little passport, stamped with flavors from France, Korea, Japan, California, and, of course, Italy. It’s a globe-trotting adventure for your palate, no travel required.

And if you’re wondering about the pedigree, get this: Ambrogio by Acquerello is a collab between our local Ambrogio15 Restaurant Group and the big guns from Italy’s Michelin-starred Ristorante Acquerello, chefs Silvio Salmoiraghi and Choi Cheolhyeok. That’s some serious culinary firepower.

Raising a Glass to Culinary Excellence!

Hats off to Ambrogio by Acquerello in La Jolla! Your Michelin Guide recognition is putting San Diego’s culinary scene in the spotlight where it belongs. We’re raising our glasses to your blend of Milanese tradition and Pacific innovation. Here’s to many more accolades and unforgettable meals in La Jolla.
