Surf’s Up at the Fourth Annual Solento Surf Festival

San Diego’s about to catch some serious stoke with the Fourth Annual Solento Surf Festival rolling into town. This week-long celebration is all about embracing our city’s chill surf culture and Solento’s “take it slow” philosophy—because around here, life’s best enjoyed at a laid-back pace.

Beachside Bliss and Cinema Stoke

Seaside Beach is set to transform into a surf lover’s paradise. There’s an inclusive surf contest where everyone can show off their skills (or lack thereof—no judgment here), live tunes to keep spirits high, mouthwatering local eats, and a beach bar for that perfect post-surf refresher. The best part? It’s free for all to enjoy.

But the fun doesn’t stop at the shore. The historic La Paloma Theater is hosting a ticketed surf film festival that’ll have everyone dreaming of the perfect wave. They’ve handpicked the year’s most thrilling surf flicks, featuring legends like Kelly Slater and some fresh faces who are redefining what’s possible on a board.

To round out the experience, there’ll be panel discussions, raffles, live music, and plenty of food and drinks to keep the party going.

Art, Drinks, and Sunset Vibes

For the artsy crowd (and let’s face it, that’s a big chunk of SD), Four Moons Spa is offering a treat. You can soak in the creative vibes with works from local legends like Todd Glaser and Dave Muller.

Complimentary drinks from Solento, Kove, and Sydney Beer Co. will be flowing while Jon Swift provides live tunes. It’s the perfect way to wind down and get inspired.

This festival isn’t just an event—it’s pure San Diego magic, celebrating everything that makes our sun-soaked, surf-obsessed corner of the world so special.

See you there!

Catch the wave at Seaside Beach on September 14 from 8 AM to 6 PM. The film festival runs from September 19 to 21 at La Paloma Theater, and the art show kicks off on September 17 at Four Moons Spa. Looks like San Diego’s in for a week of epic waves and even better vibes!

See you there, San Diego!
