An’s Gate D5 – The Most Creative Gelato Stop in Oceanside is About to Land

San Diego’s beloved gelato brand An’s is a two-time winner of USA Today’s 10Best “Best Ice Cream Shop in America.” Now it is bringing its next concept to the historic Top Gun House in Oceanside.

The new spot, An’s Gate D5, is set to open inside the restored 1888 cottage at Mission Pacific Beach Resort. The shop overlooks the Oceanside Pier.

Step Through Security and Into Something Totally Unexpected

The interior is being transformed into a full airport terminal experience. Walk through a “security” checkpoint, then order at a flight-style check-in counter. You can choose your serving size – “carry on” or “checked bag.” It’s a classic An’s move: a concept so well-executed it’s fun before you’ve even tasted anything.

Flavors That Take You Places

Gate D5 will feature seven rotating gelato flavors inspired by global destinations, swapping out every two to three weeks. A pistachio-based Milan gelato is one early example of where things are headed. A sorbetto palate cleanser, coffee drinks, and affogato are also in the works.

A Brand That Knows How to Make an Entrance

An’s has built its following through a lineup of uniquely themed shops across San Diego. These include North Park, Ocean Beach, Del Mar, and Petco Park. Each location pairs a playful concept with chef-driven, small-batch gelato. Gate D5 brings that same energy to one of Oceanside’s most iconic landmarks.

See you there!

An’s Gate D5 is shaping up to be one of the most fun new openings on the Oceanside waterfront this year. Follow An’s for updates on the official opening date.

📆 Expected to open late spring to early summer 2026
