Art of Elan’s 18th Season Shakes Up the Symphony Scene

Art of Elan’s upcoming 18th season, aptly named “Mosaic,” isn’t your grandma’s classical music—it’s a fresh, boundary-pushing take that’s redefining what classical can be in the 21st century.

From Central Library to Contemporary Ballet

We’re stoked about the free lunchtime concerts at the San Diego Central Library—because who doesn’t love a side of stunning city views with their midday Mozart?

And hold onto your tutus because Art of Elan is teaming up with The Rosin Box Project, San Diego’s coolest contemporary ballet company. It’s a match made in artistic heaven.

Composers Breaking the Mold

The real showstoppers? World premieres from composers who are pushing the envelope. We can’t wait to hear what Rand Steiger, Christina Courtin, and Mingjia Chen have cooked up.

These aren’t your typical classical composers—they’re the rebels of the music world, creating sounds that’ll make you rethink everything you thought you knew about classical music.

More Than Just Music

But “Mosaic” isn’t just about the tunes. It’s a celebration of San Diego‘s diverse cultural landscape and a spotlight on the innovative artists who call our city home.

We’re loving how Art of Elan is partnering with local powerhouses like Mingei International Museum and the Institute of Contemporary Art San Diego. It’s all about building community and showcasing the incredible talent right in our backyard.
