September’s Sizzling Scene at ARTS DISTRICT Liberty Station
There’s an array of artistic experiences coming to ARTS DISTRICT Liberty Station this September. From live music and hands-on workshops to thought-provoking exhibitions, there’s something to ignite everyone’s creative spark.
Let’s dive into the vibrant lineup that’ll have us all falling in love with San Diego’s arts scene all over again.
New Kids on the Block: Fresh Faces and Spaces
ARTS DISTRICT is welcoming some seriously cool new tenants, and we can’t wait to check them out.
First up, the Data Science Alliance is bringing their brain power to the neighborhood with their Data Discourse sessions. It’s the perfect spot for data nerds (like us!) to geek out over the latest AI trends and ethical implications.
It’s way more exciting than it sounds—especially if you’re looking to rub elbows with industry pros.
And we’re stoked about Fatsip, the new kid on the block in Barracks 19. Weston Riffle’s paintings are a colorful love letter to early California, and we’re itching to get our hands on one of his pieces. Who’s up for an art shopping spree?
Get Your Art On: Interactive Experiences Galore
September’s First Friday is shaping up to be a great one. We’re talking meet-the-artist events, free dance classes (hello, floorwork technique!), and open studios galore. You can check out the full lineup of things to enjoy here.
La Galleria‘s event is giving us major FOMO with its mix of live music, jewelry designers, and floral workshops. And the improv shows at Mockingbird? We’re already practicing our best jokes.
For all you textile lovers out there, Visions Museum of Textile Art is bringing the heat with their Interwoven Identity workshop. We’re ready to get our hands dirty (or should we say, threaded?) as we explore belonging through textile collage.
It’s the perfect blend of creativity and meaningful conversation—count us in!
Sights, Sounds, and Celebrations
The ARTS DISTRICT Summer Music Series is wrapping up with a bang, featuring the border-blending sounds of Frontera Bugalú. We’re already planning our picnic spread and dance moves for this free concert on the North Promenade.
And let’s not forget about the Good Faith and ARTS DISTRICT Liberty Station Market. It’s the perfect excuse to support local artists and small businesses while snagging some unique finds. Our wallets might be a little lighter afterward, but our hearts (and homes) will be full.
See you there!
