Oceanside Parks and Recreation is pulling out all the stops – a fireworks and drone display at the SoCal Soccer Complex at El Corazon, celebrating Independence Day, America’s 250th anniversary, and the city’s own 138th birthday in one big night.

Gates open early with family-friendly activities and food trucks to keep everyone happy before the show kicks off. Best of all, it’s completely free and open to the public – just show up and enjoy. If you’re in North County for the holiday weekend, this one’s a no-brainer.

The Biggest 4th of July Fireworks in San Diego

The Big Bay Boom

The Big Bay Boom is back – four barges on San Diego Bay, one massive fireworks show, and just about every waterfront neighborhood in the city with a front-row seat.

The Kid-Friendliest 4th of July Fireworks in San Diego

Red, White and BOOM! at Legoland California

LEGOLAND California is turning the Fourth into a full day of family fun with Red, White & BOOM! – DJ dance parties, lawn games, a MINILAND USA scavenger hunt with an exclusive pop badge prize, and the LEGO Hamburger Relay hosted by Hot Dot Guy.

The night closes with a fireworks show that transforms into 3D LEGO bricks through special viewing glasses – genuinely one of the cooler fireworks experiences in the county for kids. Poway 4th of July Fireworks and Celebration

Poway is going all in for America’s 250th – two simultaneous fireworks shows lighting up the sky over Poway High School Stadium and Poway Sportsplex, a DJ, games, and activities from 6 PM to get the party started. Lake Poway stays open as an extra viewing spot if you want a more laid-back setting.

At just $6 at the gate (kids 11 and under are free), it’s one of the best value Fourth of July celebrations in the county. And for the first time ever, Poway is hosting a patriotic decorating contest – residential outdoor, residential window, and business categories up for People’s Choice and judges awards.
