Botanic Boo-tanicals! Brave The Spooky Decor and Celebrate Fall at San Diego Botanic Garden
While temperatures might not be dropping any time soon, the beginning of fall is quickly approaching. There’s no better place to take in the beauty of autumn than at San Diego Botanic Garden.
Fall at San Diego Botanic Gardens
Nestled in the coastal city of Encinitas, San Diego Botanic Garden transforms into an autumn oasis with its lineup of fall happenings.
Fall Festival Day: Bring the whole family to experience a special Fall Festival Family Day on Saturday, October 21 from 10AM to 3PM. The event will feature fall crafts, music from Billy Lee and the Swamp Critters, a spooky boo-tanical costume parade, and a chance to plant your own ghost succulent, learn about and dissect pumpkins and hold a slimy worm, if you dare! Each guest will also receive a mini pumpkin to decorate.
Pumpkins!: Enjoy a seasonal display of pumpkins in Hamilton Children’s Garden from Thursday, October 12 through November.
Savage Gardens Exhibit: Guests are also encouraged to stop by the Conservatory and explore the Savage Gardens exhibit, a bizarre and captivating world of carnivorous plants, now featuring some spooky new decor just in time for the season. On display through October 29, be on the look out for bats, spiders and skeletons hidden throughout this larger-than-life exhibition!
