Coco Maya Is Open In Little Italy!

Little Italy’s latest hotspot, Coco Maya, is now open. The neighborhood just keeps getting better!

Coco Maya is the more sophisticated, well-rounded, Yucatan-inspired counterpart to Miss B’s Coconut Club in Mission Beach. The cuisine serves as a contemporary link from the past to the present using local produce, flavorful spices, and seafood guided by the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch.

The newest concept from Grind & Prosper Hospitality Group takes its inspiration from the history of the islands and Latin American regions of the Caribbean.

The menu features bold, large-format proteins cooked over coals in the Josper oven, which is at the heart of the kitchen—hints of ocean, smoke, and char are present throughout.

Brunch daily

Their daily brunch menu, served from 10AM to 2PM, is centered around Latin American and Caribbean breakfast dishes with rotating pastries and a unique sandwich called Bokit, which is a stuffed fry bread from the French Islands of Guadeloupe.

Banana leaf surprise!

Try the Co-chi-ni-ta Pebil, a classic Mayan slow-roasted suckling pig dish wrapped in banana leaves, presented in a clay pot that gets cracked table-side. The suckling pig is marinated in Recado rojo and served with pickled red onion, black bean purée and tortillas de mano.

See you at Coco Maya!

Happy Hour from 2PM-6PM is a can’t miss! Reservations are encouraged as dinner transitions into a more select atmosphere.

Explore the menu and book your reservations to dine here.

See you there, San Diego!
