A Heavenly New Rooftop Haven Lands in Mission Hills
The buzz around Mission Hills’ newest rooftop restaurant has been building for months, and now Communion rooftop restaurant is finally opening its doors.
Perched high above the city starting November 21, this stunning spot is about to take San Diego’s food scene to new heights (literally). With sweeping coastal views as your dinner backdrop, we’re already dreaming about our first visit.
Global Flavors That’ll Make You Swoon
Remember the incredible eats at Mille Fleurs and Mister A’s? Well, Executive Chef Mike Moritz is bringing that same culinary magic to Communion.
The menu reads like a foodie’s wish list—we’re talking Kaluga caviar with perfect little buckwheat blinis, a plant-based roasted beet “filet” that’ll make you forget about meat, and local Escondido oyster mushrooms nestled on creamy parmesan polenta.
And don’t even get us started on the coconut milk poached seabass swimming in aromatic tom yum broth. Plus, Pastry Chef Aly Lyng (formerly of George’s at the Cove) will be working her sweet magic.
Sips with Style
The cocktail game here is next level. Picture yourself watching the sunset while sipping on their Sherry Sherry Lady—a sophisticated blend of brandy, multiple sherries, and a blackberry thyme shrub.
Or try the Shakti, a tropical-meets-refined creation with coconut gin and pandan infusion.
See you there!
Communion rooftop restaurant opening is set for Thursday, November 21, at 901 W. Washington, San Diego. They’re serving up the good stuff daily from 4 PM onwards.
