Culinary Dropout Makes Its West Coast Debut in Del Mar

Culinary Dropout, one of Arizona’s most popular restaurant concepts, is officially bringing its bold flavors and rebellious energy to California with a brand-new location opening in Del Mar Highlands Town Center.

Known for elevated comfort food, handcrafted cocktails, and live music vibes, the new Del Mar outpost marks the brand’s very first on the West Coast—and it’s designed to be your new go-to for everything from weekday hangs to weekend brunch.

Culinary Dropout Del Mar

Comfort Food With a Rebel Streak

At its core, Culinary Dropout is all about classics done right—think soft pretzels with provolone fondue, BBQ pork belly nachos, and the must-try Korean-style ribeye cap that sells out fast.

The menu’s got something for every craving, from crispy chicken katsu sandwiches to a black truffle Detroit-style pizza, along with hearty salads and pasta like chicken cacio e pepe.

Thirsty? The bar program is just as impressive. Standouts include the Giddy Up Espresso Martini, Abandoned Cadillac with Patrón and pomegranate redux, and the tropical Full Moon Party—all crafted to pair perfectly with your plate and the venue’s electric atmosphere.

See you there!
