Shake It Up: San Diego’s Hottest Cocktail Classes and Dinners

GBOD Hospitality Group, one of San Diego’s fastest-growing hospitality groups, will raise San Diegans’ spirits with a new series of cocktail and dinner events featuring Don Julio Tequila and Remy Martin Cognac.

The exciting event lineup includes a cocktail class at Prohibition, a cocktail dinner at El Chingon, a second cocktail class at Prohibition, and a pairing dinner at Monello.

Prohibition Cocktail Class With Don Julio Tequila

The action will kick off at Prohibition, the sultry speakeasy located at 548 Fifth Avenue in the Gaslamp Quarter, from 6:30 PM to 8 PM on Wednesday, July 31, with an interactive cocktail class featuring Don Julio Tequila.

The experience will include a welcome drink, two signature Don Julio cocktails, and the chance to step behind the bar and craft a personal cocktail. Get your tickets for $55.20 here!

Don Julio Cocktail Dinner at El Chingon

El Chingon, the “Bad Ass” Mexican restaurant located at 560 Fifth Avenue, will welcome the new month by hosting a cocktail pairing dinner featuring Don Julio Tequila.

Starting at 7 PM on Thursday, August 1, the dinner will include a three-course menu, with each course paired with a craft cocktail designed to highlight a distinct tequila profile. Brand ambassador Ryan Shea will walk you through the curated tastings and pairings.

Prohibition Cocktail Class With Remy Martin Cognac

On Wednesday, August 28, from 6:30 PM to 8 PM, Prohibition will host another cocktail event, this one featuring Rémy Martin Cognac. The hands-on cocktail class will begin with a welcome drink, followed by two signature Rémy Martin cocktails.

Aspiring mixologists will learn firsthand from one of Prohibition’s top bartenders, who will teach you to handcraft your own cocktails. Get your tickets for $55.20 here!

Monello Pairing Dinner With Remy Martin / LOUIS XIII

Monello, the award-winning Italian restaurant located at 750 W. Fir St. in the heart of Little Italy, will continue its monthly series of spirited cocktail events with a pairing dinner.

Starting at 7 PM on Thursday, August 29, the evening will include a four-course meal prepared by Executive Chef Fabrizio Cavallini, paired with four cocktails featuring the award-winning Rémy Martin Family of Cognacs.

A special pour of LOUIS XIII Cognac is included, and each course will hold a tasting and educational session on the highlighted spirits, guided by brand ambassador Charlie LaVerde.

Tickets are limited and priced at $150 per person. The reservation deposit is $50 and is available for purchase here.
