Estancia La Jolla’s Tea in the Garden Series Returns With Monthly Themed High Teas

If the Garden Party left you wanting more florals and fancy attire, Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa is keeping the magic going. The Tea in the Garden series returns this spring, offering a storybook-style high tea set amid the hotel’s blooming gardens.

Held one Sunday each month through October, the series blends themed décor, curated menus, and elegant tea moments in one of La Jolla’s most picturesque outdoor settings.

A Different Theme Each Month

Each Tea in the Garden experience runs from 12 PM to 3 PM and brings a new theme to life with immersive details, seasonal flavors, and plenty of reasons to dress the part.

Petals & Pastels – April 26

The series begins with a pastel-washed spring celebration inspired by Estancia’s beloved Garden Party. Expect blooming florals, playful details, and a fresh, lighthearted take on traditional high tea.

Bridgerton & Blooms High Tea – May 31

Channel Regency-era romance with an afternoon designed for debutantes at heart. Think garden elegance, refined bites, and a setting that feels straight out of a period drama.

Solstice Garden Tea – June 28

Welcome summer with a sun-drenched tea experience bursting with vibrant color and refreshing seasonal flavors. This one leans bright, celebratory, and full of warm-weather energy.

Mediterranean Daydream – July 19

Inspired by breezy seaside terraces and leisurely café afternoons, this gathering brings a coastal European feel to the gardens with relaxed sophistication.

A Gilded Garden Tea – August 23

Late summer turns glamorous with golden-hour elegance woven throughout the décor and menu. Expect a refined yet festive atmosphere that captures the glow of the season.

Harvest & Herb Tea – September 27

Ease into early autumn with a garden tea highlighting fresh herbs, late-summer fruits, and the first hints of fall. Cozy touches meet elevated presentation for a transitional seasonal moment.

A Curious Mad Hatter Tea Party – October 18

The series concludes with a whimsical garden fantasy where nothing is quite as it seems. Playful details and imaginative styling create a lighthearted finale to the season.

Garden Setting, Elevated Experience

Set among Estancia’s lush grounds, Tea in the Garden transforms the property into an immersive high-tea escape. Culinary creativity meets fanciful ambiance, encouraging everyone to show up in their finest tea attire and settle in for a leisurely afternoon.

Tickets are $75 per person for each event and are available online. Seating is limited for each themed afternoon.
