Celebrate The Start of Fall At The Castelli & Pizarro Family Winery Grape Stomp
Just in time for the fall, Castelli & Pizarro Family Winery will be hosting their Fall Grape Stomp event on Sunday, Sept. 25th. Stop by and try your hand (or your feet) at the good old-fashioned way to make wine!
The history of grape stomping dates all the way back to the 3rd century AD. Rather than crushing and processing grapes using machinery, stompers would use their bare feet to pulverize the grapes to separate their sweet juices from their rough exteriors to begin the fermentation process.
The end result is that wonderful Castelli A& Pizarro family wine that you may already know and love.
It’s a family affair!
Bring your kids along for a fun day at the winery or book a reservation for an outdoor wine tasting. For the grape stomp, tickets are $35 for adults, and $20 for kids, and guarantees you one complimentary glass of wine (for guests 21+), a food voucher, and all the freshly harvested grapes your feet can stomp.
See you there!
Castelli & Pizarro Family Winery is located in the rolling hills of Highland Valley Ramona, 5 miles east of Potato Chip Rock and about 36 miles east of Downtown San Diego. It’s a perfect place for a day trip adventure!
Advance tickets for the Annual Grape Stomp can be purchased here. All ages are welcome, but you must be 21 or older to drink!
