May 14 Marks Final Concert In Local Roots Spring Concert Series
After a two-year delay, Local Roots Hard Kombucha opens its much-anticipated “Boochyard” tap room in North County, with a Spring Concert Series, every other Saturday with the final spring concert on May 14 featuring music by Boostive with Jamberries.
Can-for-a-Cause debut
Also debuting this spring is Local Roots’ Can-for-a-Cause to benefit the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance. With special can art by Arte. By. Caro (Carolina Arrieta) of Encinitas, proceeds between April and June will be donated to the Alliance, an international nonprofit conservation organization.
Get dibs on exclusive food and drink specials
Owned, brewed, and operated by cousins – Ryan White and Joe Carmichael – Local Roots will host the series with Boochyard exclusive food and drink specials in their new 7,500-square-foot space (2,000 indoor and 5,500 outdoor patio) on the border of Vista and Carlsbad.
The taproom has 30-plus flavors on tap – including favorites, such as Cali Mule, Blood Orange Mimosa, Strawberry Mojito, Purple Haze, Island Vibes, Mai Tai, and a specialty Hop ‘N Citrus, collaboration with Second Chance Brew Co. – along with experimental hard and non-alcoholic kombucha options, always pushing the envelope of better-for-you organic alcohol. Cans, crowlers and growlers are all available to-go as well.
The Boochyard has teamed up with Chef Jai Wurfbain of Eat Like Buddha to offer a variety of tasty bites, from Buddha Bowls, dumplings, flatbreads, fish tacos and more. Dishes are plant-based, sustainable, and sourced locally. Many dishes include Chef Jai’s signature Buddha Sauce.
A business from the heart
White and Carmichael, who share a passion for health and wellness, brewed the business out of a love for clean eating and cold pressed juicing after family health battles with cancer and gut health.
First launched in 2019, the cousins first took time to understand the process of commercial brewing and canning, now Local Roots can now be found in stores throughout California and Arizona. Local Roots is dedicated to give back to local communities while having a positive impact on our planet.
They donate regularly to both local and environmental non-profits; the brewery is also solar-powered and uses transparent and sustainable ingredients.
The Boochyard is located at 1430 Vantage Court, Suite 101 in Vista (92081). Taproom hours are Tuesday through Thursday from 3PM to 9PM, Fridays and Saturdays noon to 11PM and Sundays noon to 9PM.
