City Of Oceanside To Host Earth Day Event
The City of Oceanside is hosting an “Earth Day of Service and Celebration” event at Buccaneer Park to promote sustainability in the region, preserving the environment and to educate the community about simple steps it can take every day to protect our shared planet.
Family-friendly activities
The event will feature arts, crafts, cleanups, music and other family-friendly activities for the community to take part in. Each activity promotes environmental sustainability and taking action to preserve and protect our communities and the earth.
The cleanup event at Buccaneer Park will involve removing litter and debris as a part of I Love a Clean San Diego’s Creek to Bay Cleanup—the largest environmental cleanup in San Diego County—now in its 20th year. Four additional cleanup sites are available at Loma Alta and Buena Vista creeks.
