SeaWorld Honors Active Duty & Veterans Of The Armed Forces During Red, White & Blue Salute Weekend With Free Admission & Patriotic Tributes
SeaWorld San Diego is honoring Active Duty and Veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces with a weekend tribute during the Red, White and Blue Salute. From November 11 through November 13, SeaWorld will hold a daily flag ceremony, offer live music, fireworks and more. The park offers complimentary one-day admission tickets to Veterans, Active Duty members, and three family members through the Waves of Honor program.
Throughout the weekend, the park will open each day with a flag ceremony and the national anthem, paying tribute to the service and sacrifice of all the brave men and women who have protected the freedoms we enjoy as Americans.
The event will kick off with a fireworks demonstration to honor Veteran’s Day on Friday, November 11. This special display will take place ten minutes prior to closing.
Field of Honor
A Field of Honor will also be created in front of Nautilus Pavilion with over 1,000 American flags to represent local Veterans and their families. Guests will also be able to dedicate a flag with a personal note to their hero. In addition, the park will also be recognizing veterans and their service at Orca Encounter and Dolphin Adventures presentations all weekend long.
Live musical performances
During the weekend, veterans and park guests can enjoy live musical performances on various days. On Saturday, November 12 and Sunday, November 13, the San Diego-based U.S. Marine Marching Band will be saluting our veterans in the park. In addition, On Sunday, November 13, students from the Valley Center High School Marching Band will be performing in the park. Plus, don’t miss the return of the SeaStreet Band popping up throughout the park playing favorite hits!
Special drinks
A special patriotic Blackberry Whisky Mule will be available for purchase, with $1 of each purchase going to benefit Heroes on the Water, a nonprofit focused on providing healing to veterans and first responders. In addition, High Tide Brews, SeaWorld’s newest tap room will be serving $2 pints (16 oz.) of Mike Hess Steel Beach, a crisp, light-bodied, and refreshing lager named for the legendary Uncle Sam-sponsored beer-days aboard Navy vessels.

“We appreciate all that our military and veterans do and have done for our nation, and we are celebrating them with this special tribute. We hope they are able to enjoy the special offerings we have for them during this event with their friends and family.”
Tickets and Registration
As part of SeaWorld’s Waves of Honor program, SeaWorld San Diego offers free tickets to U.S. military veterans and any U.S. active-duty military for themselves and three direct dependents to visit the park. Veteran tickets must be redeemed by November 13, 2022, while Active Duty tickets must be used through December 31, 2022.
U.S. military veterans, retirees and armed forces must register online here in advance and verify their proof of service through the ID.me qualification process. SeaWorld works with ID.me to provide an online verification of former military personnel in a secure and privacy-enhancing manner. Service members and their direct dependents must have a valid active military ID to participate.
