Catch the Beach Boys Live at the Rady Shell – With the Full San Diego Symphony
There are concerts, and then there are the kind of nights that feel like a proper San Diego moment. The Beach Boys coming to The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park – backed by the San Diego Symphony – is firmly in that second category.

A California Sound, Amplified
The Beach Boys have been making music since 1961, and somehow that catalog still sounds like summer distilled into three minutes. “Surfin’ USA,” “California Girls,” “Good Vibrations,” “Wouldn’t It Be Nice,” “Kokomo” – the hits run deep, and hearing them performed with a full symphony orchestra behind them is going to hit differently than any recorded version.
The Rady Shell is the kind of outdoor venue that seems built for exactly this – warm night air, the bay in the background, the San Diego Symphony filling in every corner of the sound.
The Faces Behind the Music
The band is led by Mike Love – Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, Grammy winner, and the lyricist behind much of what made The Beach Boys what they are – alongside longtime member Bruce Johnston and a full ensemble that includes Christian Love, Tim Bonhomme, Jon Bolton, Keith Hubacher, Randy Leago, and John Wedemeyer.
On the orchestral side, conductor Sean O’Loughlin leads the San Diego Symphony through what’s sure to be an exceptional night of arrangements.

Something Worth Celebrating
This tour carries a bit of extra weight: 2026 marks the 60th anniversary of Pet Sounds, one of the most acclaimed albums in American pop history, as well as the 250th anniversary of the USA.
Add in the fact that The Beach Boys have sold over 100 million records worldwide and have performed more concerts than any major rock band in history, and this one is carrying some serious legacy energy.
