Sockers Score New Home in Oceanside’s Frontwave Arena

San Diego’s indoor soccer champs are kicking off an exciting new chapter! The San Diego Sockers are bringing their winning ways to Oceanside’s shiny new Frontwave Arena for the 2024-25 season.

Frontwave Arena

New Digs, Same Championship Dreams

Frontwave Arena isn’t just any venue—it’s a state-of-the-art sports and entertainment playground that opened its doors last month. Now, it’s ready to host twelve action-packed Sockers home games, starting with a face-off against Utica on December 14.

Chiky Takes the Helm

There’s a new captain steering the ship! Miguel “Chiky” Luna is stepping up as General Manager, bringing his player experience and operational know-how to lead the Sockers into this fresh era.

With Chiky’s eye for talent, expect to see some serious footwork from stars like Ceasar Cerda, Brandon Escoto, and goalkeeper Boris Pardo.

Legacy of Champions

Let’s not forget—we’re talking about the San Diego Sockers here. These guys have been dominating indoor soccer since 1978, racking up a mind-blowing sixteen professional championships. They’re coming in hot off back-to-back Major Arena Soccer League titles in 2022, so you know the energy at Frontwave Arena is going to be electric.

A Fond Farewell

As the team makes this exciting move, we’re tipping our hats to Sean Bowers, who’s been the mastermind behind the Sockers’ recent success. He’s moving on to bigger things at Frontwave Arena, but his legacy of 138 wins in eight seasons is nothing short of legendary.

See You There!

The full San Diego Sockers 2024-25 schedule is up on the Frontwave Arena website here. From the season opener on December 14 to the regular season finale against Tacoma on March 30, there’s plenty of soccer magic to go around.
