Gaslamplighter Cocktail & Karaoke Bar Set To Light Up San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter

Gaslamplighter amplifies SD’s evolving nightlife

Under the ownership of fourth-generation bar owner and CEO of NVRLFT Hospitality, Frankie Sciuto, Gaslamplighter will amplify San Diego’s ever-evolving nightlife and dining scene, sparking up good times, stirring up fine cocktails and serving up noteworthy bites.

Designed by GTC Design Studios, the 1,600-square-foot captivating venue will take over what was once Ciro’s Pizzeria and Beerhouse and pay homage to Sciuto’s family business, The Lamplighter, as an elevated and contemporary iteration of the local favorite.

Gaslamplighter will pair classic style with a vintage industrial 1920s flare to curate a feeling of timeless nostalgia. The space’s moody ambiance will mimic an extravagant speakeasy, featuring shades of green and navy with accents of gold and rose metals throughout to give it a quintessential Art Deco style.

A stage with a backdrop of high-tech bulb lighting will serve as a focal point for karaoke and live performances, while guests have the option of both private booths and bar seating to experience Gaslamplighter’s sophisticated yet lively atmosphere.

Born & raised in San Diego

Born and raised in San Diego, Sciuto continues his family legacy as a fourth-generation bar owner, taking ownership of Side Bar in 2021 and now set to open the doors of Gaslamplighter in 2023.

Sciuto has played an integral role in the growth of San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter as a sought-after nightlife destination and plans to continue this upward trajectory with this brand-new concept.

Gaslamplighter’s elevated cocktail and karaoke bar concept will be the first opened by Sciuto’s NVRLFT Hospitality Group and the newest in his growing portfolio of business ventures, alongside its Gaslamp neighbor, Side Bar.

“I am honored to continue my family’s legacy with the opening of Gaslamplighter, which has such a special story and connection to this incredible city,” said Frankie Sciuto. “This concept has been a dream of mine since I first started as a barback at The Lamplighter, and I could not be more excited to ignite a new flame in the Gaslamp Quarter alongside Side Bar.”

Gaslamplighter Cocktail & Karaoke Bar will be located at 536 Market Street, San Diego, CA 92101. For more information, please visit the website here and connect on Facebook and Instagram.
