Hamburger Hut Gets New Location As Leucadia Co. Expands

Hamburger Hut, the North County burger favorite, has reopened in a new location in the space formerly occupied by Priority Public House in Leucadia.

With a strong presence in the Encinitas community, Leucadia Co. (Valentina, Moto Deli, Corner Pizza), the beloved restaurant group founded by Mario Guerra, has only expanded since the pandemic with the help of partner Jimmy Maldonado, Director of Operations, and Sommelier Ricardo Zarate Jr.

Hamburger Hut’s new location = laid-back swim club vibes

The redesigned space captures Hamburger Hut’s intended sentiment of a laid-back swim club with additions like tropical plants, mid-century modern furniture, classic red and white burger branding, turquoise trim, white oak countertops, bamboo paneling, funky tropical wallpaper, and more.

With a lively craft cocktail bar on the inside and a family-friendly patio on the outside, the new location was created with the Leucadia community in mind; a mix of families and young people looking for an evening destination.

Complete with firepits and a ping pong table, the new location aims to accommodate whether you’re looking to enjoy live music with a tropical beverage in hand or the evening breeze as the kids play.

Classic Grass-Fed Smash Burgers

Under the guidance of executive chef, Alex Carballo, Hamburger Hut is continuing to serve its classic 100% grass-fed smash style burgers and cheeseburgers with either a single, double, or triple flattop charred beef patty on a King’s Hawaiian roll topped with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onions and house-made 10,000 Island Dressing.

Additional menu items include the Hut Salad, and of course Jabba Fries; Hamburger Hut’s twist on carne asada fries.
