Harland Brewing Co. Opens First Full Service Restaurant in 4S Ranch

Harland Brewing Company just opened its fourth location in 4S Ranch, and this one’s different from the rest. While the South Park, Bay Park, and Scripps Ranch spots are family-friendly tasting rooms, the new 4S Ranch location is Harland’s first full-service restaurant with all-day dining.

Founded in 2018, Harland has quickly become one of the most creative and fastest-growing breweries in the U.S., and this expansion brings a new level of hospitality to their lineup.

A Menu Built for the Whole Family

Jeff Hansson, CEO of Harland Brewing and a Rancho Bernardo resident, says the goal was to create a place that truly works for the whole family.

The community is full of families looking for great food, a welcoming atmosphere, and a place where kids feel just as comfortable as adults, and Harland 4S Ranch aims to become a neighborhood gathering place and community staple for years to come.

Led by Harland’s new Director of Culinary Operations, Scott Cannon, the menu offers approachable yet elevated dishes in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Here’s what you can expect:

Shareable Appetizers:

  • Kung Pao Brussels with pineapple Kung Pao sauce, pork belly, pickled peppers, green onions, radish, and sesame seeds
  • Grilled Flatbread with roasted garlic, blue cheese, prosciutto, arugula, and balsamic

Bowls and Salads:

  • Chicken Satay Salad with marinated and roasted chicken, mixed greens, pickled onions, pickled peppers, cucumbers, radish sprouts, cilantro, and peanut satay sauce
  • Salmon Poke Bowl with jasmine rice, marinated cucumber, onion, and chimichurri aioli

Hearty Entrees:

  • Braised Short Rib with roasted garlic goat cheese mash, red wine demi-glace, and seasonal vegetables
  • Half Roasted Chicken with smoked cherry tomato chicken jus and shaved fennel salad

The menu also includes some of the tasty handheld items available at Harland’s other tasting rooms. Brunch service on Saturdays and Sundays kicks off in mid-February, and beverage offerings include a long list of Harland’s beers on tap, cocktail-inspired seltzers, locally-produced ciders, and a curated wine list.

Mid-Century Inspired Design

The 3,400-square-foot restaurant was designed by Tecscape and features high ceilings, an open dining room, and a large central bar with mid-century-inspired touches.

Pendant lighting, a terrazzo bar top, flagstone mosaic wall above the bar and tap system, and ample indoor foliage create a welcoming atmosphere that feels polished without being stuffy.

See you there!

Harland 4S Ranch fills a real need in the community for a family-friendly restaurant that doesn’t compromise on food quality or atmosphere, and the early reviews suggest they’re pulling it off.
