Howl-O-Scream Unleashes ALL-NEW Nightmares and Performances at SeaWorld San Diego

The ultimate Halloween extravaganza is back, and it’s bigger, badder, and more bone-chilling than ever. Howl-O-Scream at SeaWorld San Diego is gearing up to turn our peaceful seaside town into a playground of fear, and we’re here for every spine-tingling moment.

Heart-Pounding Frights Await in Returning Haunted Houses

Howl-O-Scream promises a more terrifying experience than ever before. Venture into darkness, navigating shadowy tunnels and flickering corridors, where every step reveals chilling secrets. In Circus of the Damned, clowns with groundbreaking 3-D effects will fill rooms with frightful laughs.

Nightmare Experiment plunges you into a grim world of a sadistic doctor and his horrifying medical ordeals. Simon’s Slaughterhouse exposes the gruesome secrets of a meat factory, while Deathwater Bayou immerses you in a haunting bayou of dark rituals and voodoo magic.

Finally, Area 64: Alien Outbreak presents a nightmarish scene of extraterrestrial terror, with sinister experiments and eerie alien horrors at every turn.

All-New Scare Zones and Vile Vignettes Added

Throughout the event, brace yourself for unexpected adrenaline-pumping experiences when walking upon any of the seven uniquely themed scare zones.

From creatures that emerge from beneath the surface to eerie moonlit thrills, toys that spring to life and give you chills, and clowns that make you cry from frightful laughter, four new scare zones promise to deliver heart-pounding scares and unforgettable thrills.

  • Terrors of the Deep—At the water’s edge, deadly sea beasts and eldritch horrors emerge from the depths to terrorize the poor fishermen who call the docks home.
  • Ripper Row—The infamous murderer Jack The Ripper is terrorizing the streets of Ripper Row. Everyone is on edge, distrustful, and more than willing to accost strangers if it means staying alive.
  • Red Moon Revelry—A once quiet commune deep in the woods has been transformed into a bloodthirsty cabal of vampires celebrating the arrival of the blood moon. A feast is upon all who are drawn in by the sounds of a party.
  • All Hallows Harvest—An abandoned farmland where nothing can be protected from the cursed scarecrows intent on harvesting bodies and souls to feed their dark desires.

Haunting the park pathways for another year are favorite scare zones fans love to hate, including creepy dolls and sinister stuffed animals at Deadly Toys, mystifying, undead evils rise at The Graveyard and disgruntled, deranged carnies at Carnival of Chaos.

Howl O Scream

Brand-New Bewitching Live Entertainment to Madden and Mesmerize

Among the haunted houses and scare zones are the Vile Vignettes—staged scenes designed to terrify unsuspecting visitors. This year, Howl-O-Scream is introducing three new vignettes, each featuring a leading character and a spine-chilling tale that will haunt you long after the night ends.

  • Fall Of Atlantis—A scholar shunned for their pursuit of the arcane and mystical stumbles across a mysterious artifact at a dig site that promises to unlock the secrets of Atlantis and uncover why the ancient city fell to ruin.
  • Hunter’s Oath—A vampire hunter at the forest’s edge is gathering supporters to take on the mysterious Red Moon Revelers. Will you choose to join him in his battle against the gathering dark forces, or will you fall victim?
  • Songs Of Old Halloween—Gather ‘round and hear the tales of Halloween long since forgotten to all but the darkest of shadows. But beware, nary a tale you hear ends well, and legend says that the stories themselves wish to be forgotten.

Plus, returning for a year of suspense and horror at SeaWorld San Diego are:

  • Misfortune, where brave guests enter a fortune teller’s tent to hear ominous predictions of woe and anguish
  • Dark Magic, a sadistic magician’s twisted, untraditional magic show
  • Call from Beyond, where a mad scientist conducts dangerous experiments in his private lab, pushing the boundaries of fear and science

A Feast for the Senses (and Fears)

When you need a breather from all the screaming (no judgment here), the all-new “Monster Stomp” show is ready to rock your world. It’s a Victorian-era spectacle with a modern twist, featuring none other than the infamous Jack the Ripper. Trust us, this isn’t your grandma’s theater performance.

Howl O Scream

And because no night of terror is complete without some liquid courage, we hear there are new themed bars and hidden speakeasies scattered throughout the park. Just remember to keep your wits about you—you never know what might be lurking in the shadows.

See you there!

Howl-O-Scream kicks off on September 27 and runs on select nights through November 2.
