Lana in Solana Beach Brings Coastal Elegance to Highway 101

A new dining gem is coming to Highway 101 as Lana in Solana Beach prepares to open in late spring 2025. Founded by industry veterans Travis LeGrand and Mark Whedon, Lana promises to bring everyday luxury and coastal comfort to the thriving Solana Beach restaurant scene.

Lana joins a wave of exciting new openings, including Rustic Root Solana Beach and Vale Bodega.

Lana Solana Beach

A Team With Deep Culinary Roots

LeGrand and Whedon bring decades of experience in hospitality and fine dining, with backgrounds at Cucina Urbana, The Marine Room, and Herringbone.

Their collaboration with renowned San Diego chef Jason McCleod helped shape the vision for Lana, while Chef Ruhl—formerly of Cellar Hand, Juniper & Ivy, and TRUST Restaurant Group—is set to craft fresh, vibrant flavors for every occasion.

Expect a seasonal, ingredient-driven menu inspired by local farmers, ranchers, and fishers.

A Stunning Space With Coastal Vibes

Designed by Workind Studio, Lana’s 5,000-square-foot space reflects the laid-back sophistication of Solana Beach restaurants. A central bar anchors the dining room, surrounded by plush booths, cherry and walnut wood finishes, and a lush outdoor patio perfect for sunset cocktails and breezy brunches.

See you there!

Whether you’re stopping by for a weeknight meal, a celebratory dinner, or a casual drink, Lana is poised to become a go-to neighborhood favorite.

See you there, San Diego!
