Big News Brewing in Little Italy: A Bold New Dining Destination is Coming This Fall

Big things are coming to the Piazza della Famiglia, with the Little Italy Food Hall reimagined as a vibrant, multi-concept dining venue launching fall 2025. This long-anticipated transformation will reshape one of San Diego’s most iconic public spaces with a fresh lineup of food, drink, and community-focused experiences.

Five New Concepts + A Show-Stopping Bar

Led by Tiger Hospitality—the team behind Cosmos Burger, Lobster Lab, and La Vida—the new 4,685-square-foot venue will feature five distinct culinary offerings, a stylish indoor-outdoor bar, and a design inspired by the European piazzas that define neighborhood gathering.

Situated between India and Columbia Streets on the ground floor of the Vici apartments, the space will flow directly into the cobblestone charm of the 10,000-square-foot Piazza.

Designed by BASILE Studio

Award-winning BASILE Studio has been tapped to lead the redesign, incorporating warm textures, architectural storytelling, and thoughtful details—like a pasta-making window where you can watch the magic happen in real time.

The centerpiece: a bar that bridges indoors and outdoors, making the venue feel seamlessly integrated with the plaza.

More Than a Food Hall: A Year-Round Cultural Hub

Beyond the food, the project aims to become a cultural anchor for the community with regular live music, cooking demos, holiday pop-ups, and seasonal events—all designed to activate the Piazza and engage both locals and visitors. In 2024 alone, the space welcomed over 1.1 million guests.

Vendor Opportunities Still Available

With its culinary creativity, cultural programming, and eye-catching design, this fall’s reimagined Little Italy Food Hall will be one of San Diego’s most exciting new openings.

Spots remain for a standout pizza or pasta concept and kiosk-style dessert vendors. Interested? Contact info@tigerhospitalitygroup.com.

See you there, San Diego!
