Little Italy Welcomes Local Artist Stefanie Bales To India Street!
We’re thrilled to help spread the word that our friend Stefanie Bales is opening her own boutique studio gallery on India Street, right in the heart of Little Italy!
About Stefanie
Stefanie is a San Diego based contemporary artist, and long time resident of Little Italy, specializing in fine art painting, modern interiors, murals, and commissioned based/collaborative art. She specializes in colorful, timeless pieces that transition easily from nursery to living room to modern commercial spaces.
You may recognize Stefanie’s work in collaboration with The Balboa Park Conservancy, Fashion Week San Diego, Art Walk SD, Adelman Fine Art, Sparks Gallery, Wee Gather, Platt College, The Flower Hill Mall, or spanning the reception area of the new Ball Park Village Complex.
The Studio+Gallery
Stefanie’s boutique space, located on the 1500 block of India Street, will be part art gallery, part working studio, where visitors are welcome to visit, shop, and occasionally even create alongside her and other visiting artists. In addition to her original works, Stefanie will have her fine art prints and products for sale, will host intimate workshops, private lessons, invitation-only events, and bi-monthly receptions.

The Party
The official opening reception party for Stefanie’s new space is scheduled for Saturday, September 1. The reception will be structured as an open house where visitors are welcomed to stop by the storefront anytime between the hours of 4-8pm. There will be light bites, drinks, photo booth, and gift bags for the first 25 attendees who make a purchase.

Stefanie plans to donate 10% of all sales made on during the opening weekend to Art Reach San Diego, a local organization that exists to increase access to arts education to K-8 students throughout San Diego.
