Little Victory Wine Bar Brings Intimate European Vibes to Carlsbad Village

Little Victory Wine Bar has officially opened, and it’s already earning its spot as Carlsbad Village’s hottest new hangout.

From the team behind Encinitas’ beloved Little Victory Wine Market, this cozy new concept brings the intimate charm of a European wine bar to the south end of State Street—with an all-natural wine list, elevated seasonal plates, and a laid-back vibe perfect for lingering.

Little Victory Wine Bar

Husband-and-wife duo Jeremy Simpson and Kirsten Potenza are the creative force behind the space, combining Jeremy’s deep culinary and wine world roots (Bestia, Jeune et Jolie, Campfire) with Kirsten’s vision for blending Nordic minimalism with Parisian flair.

Think handcrafted touches, vintage finds, and warm hospitality at the heart of it all.

Natural Wines, Poured With Purpose

The wine list, curated by Jeremy, highlights natural, small-producer wines from around the globe. Expect unexpected gems, bold pairings, and easygoing recommendations from a team that’s passionate about pouring great wine without the pretense.

Globally Inspired Cuisine From Acclaimed Chefs

In the kitchen, acclaimed chef duo Elliott and Kelly Townsend—known for their innovative, hyper-local work at Long Story Short—bring their European culinary training and sustainable ethos to the table.

Their seasonal menu draws inspiration from both the New Nordic movement and SoCal’s agricultural richness, creating dishes that are refined yet approachable.
