March And Ash To Host Annual Holiday Food Drive

It’s the season for giving and March and Ash, San Diego’s most well-known cannabis dispensary, is hosting a Holiday Food Drive to help those in our local community who face food insecurity.

March and Ash is partnering with Feeding San Diego and North County Food Bank, to collect non-perishable items, from December 1st to 17th, at their Mission Valley, Imperial Beach, and Vista locations.

Not sure what to donate for the holiday food drive?

Pop top, or easy open cans are strongly preferred, and below is a list of the most needed food items:

  • canned meats
  • canned fish
  • canned vegetables
  • canned fruits
  • canned soups & stews
  • peanut butter
  • cereal and oatmeal
  • supplemental shakes like Ensure
  • infant formula

Glass containers, homemade food, opened food or expired items will NOT be accepted, and food must be in sealed packaging.

March and Ash’s Mission Valley and Imperial Beach locations will be collecting for Feeding San Diego, a local organization on a mission to connect every person facing hunger with nutritious meals by maximizing food rescue.

Established in 2007, Feeding San Diego is the leading hunger-relief and food rescue organization in San Diego County and the only Feeding America member in the region. Feeding San Diego provides more than 35 million meals every year to children, families, seniors, college students, military families, veterans, people facing homelessness, and other underserved populations.

The Vista location will be collecting food for the North County Food Bank, in partnership with the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank, comprise the largest hunger-relief organization in San Diego County. The food bank provides nutritious food to individuals and families in need in communities throughout San Diego.

All locations are excepting donations in-store only, and you can donate by letting the receptionist know you have food items for the drive. Those who donate 5+ items will receive a 15% discount on an in-store purchase that day.

  • Mission Valley is located at 2835 Camino del Rio South, open daily from 7AM–9PM.
  • Imperial Beach is located at 740 Palm Ave, open daily from 8AM–10PM.
  • Vista is located at 2465 Dogwood Way, Vista 92081, open daily from 9AM–10PM.
