Town and Country Resort Gets the Buzz With On-Site Beehive

Town and Country Resort just welcomed on-site beehives in partnership with Encinitas Honey, and they’re taking the whole concept way beyond just having bees on the property.

The resort is incorporating their fresh honey into everything from cocktails at ARLO to exclusive beverages across their dining venues, creating a farm-to-table experience that actually happens on-site.

The Honey Trail Across the Resort

The integration goes deeper than we expected. ARLO is serving up a Queen Bee cocktail made with butterfly pea flower infused Ford’s Gin, lemon, honey, and prosecco that sounds like it’s worth the trip alone.

Lapper Sports Bar + Kitchen is featuring housemade cornbread with honey butter, while Monkeybar and other venues are finding their own ways to showcase the local honey.

What makes this interesting is how they’re thinking about sustainability as an experience rather than just a behind-the-scenes initiative.

We can actually taste the difference that comes from supporting local beekeepers and reducing transportation footprints, which makes the environmental impact feel tangible rather than abstract.

Limited Edition Beer and Beyond

The partnership with Pure Project to create Atomic Buzz Blonde Ale shows they’re serious about making this more than a novelty. The limited-edition beer infused with Encinitas Honey launched on June 23 and represents exactly the kind of collaboration between local businesses that makes San Diego’s food and drink scene special.

The BeeKind organic toiletries in each guestroom take the concept into the accommodation experience. The soap, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion are made with honey and certified organic extracts that support honeybee and sustainable pollination restoration, so even your shower routine connects to the larger sustainability story.

Why This Works

The resort has been working on energy conservation and operational sustainability initiatives, and the beehives represent a natural extension of that commitment.

Instead of just talking about being environmentally conscious, they’re creating an experience where guests can participate in and benefit from sustainable practices.

The partnership with Encinitas Honey keeps the whole operation local, supporting a business that’s already doing important work in our community. It’s the kind of collaboration that strengthens the local economy while giving resort guests something authentic to connect with during their stay.

Town and Country Resort’s on-site beehives show how sustainability initiatives can enhance rather than limit the guest experience, creating connections between environmental responsibility and genuine hospitality.
