Downtown San Diego’s Lionfish Restaurant To Launch New Menu On March 1st
Lionfish Restaurant, located in the Gaslamp Quarter at the Pendry San Diego, will debut a newly revamped dinner menu on March 1st.
Casual, yet complex
The menu, featuring both sustainable fresh-catch seafood and prime meats, toys with guest’s tastebuds with its casual, yet complex offerings – all prepared with innovative twists by executive chef and James Beard Smart Catch leader, JoJo Ruiz.
New menu highlights at Lionfish Restaurtant include:
Truffle Fried Chicken & Waffles made with Korean hot chicken, mochi waffles, truffle butter, house hot sauce and smoked maple.
New specialty rolls including the Bonecrusha made with King Crab, Tuna Toro, caviar, crispy shoe strings, white truffle shoyu and bone marrow butter.
And the Geisha with Kampachi, spicy tuna, avocado, BuBu Arare, Gobo, shisho, red kosho aioli and white yuzu ponzu.
Lamb Lollipop Anticucho with miso sauce, chives and mustard frill.
King Crab Dynamite with pickled peppers, grilled lime and cilantro.
Bacon Wrapped Bacon “BLT”, Surf & Surf and Swordfish Al Pastor Robatas.
And a 180oz (whoa!) Prime KC Cut Striploin “Oscar” crusted with Blue Crab and served with butter braised asparagus and Tarragon Bearnaise.
