8 Deliciously Indulgent San Diego Brunches For Fall

Ahh Brunch. That magical, mystical meal where it’s completely acceptable to drink too much and eat enough calories to last the weekend.

Who doesn’t love that?

Whether you’re in the mood for mocha’s or mimosas, pancakes or burgers, brunch has you covered!

And if you’re looking for the best San Diego brunches this fall, we’ve broken it down it for you!

The Biggest – Hash House A Go Go

I first stumbled upon Hash House A Go Go at the Las Vegas location, a hidden gem inside the Imperial Palace Casino. After gambling the night (and my money) away, Hash House was the perfect cure.

Gigantic pancakes, twelve egg omelets, BLT Marys, Oh My! Their claim to fame is “twisted farm food” and they definitely deliver.

The brunch menu includes everything from a Crispy 18 oz Indiana Hand-Hammered Pork Tenderloin Benedict to the biggest snickers pancake you have ever seen in your life.

Remember when you go there’s always a wait… but it`s worth it!

The Best Bang for Your Buck – D Street Bar & Grill

You can literally plan your whole weekend around D Street Bar & Grill in Encinitas. Head there for a night out and then come back again the next morning for a little hair of the dog.

With $3 breakfast sliders, $3 mimosas and $5 bloody mary`s, you can`t beat that deal.

Brunch with a Purpose – Snooze an AM Eatery

It’s not only their amazing menu, boozy coffee concoctions and morning cocktails that make this place special. They have a vision behind everything they do. According to the company website:

“One percent of sales from each Snooze makes its way back into the local community through the donation of in-kind goods (A.K.A. pancakes!) and services.”

Snooze founders, brothers Jon and Adam Schlegel, are committed to giving back to their community and their mantra is “it only takes a moment to make a difference.”

Check out Snooze`s awesome fall drink menu including the Spiced Apple, Snooze sparkling Apple juice, Ancho Reyes Liqueur, cinnamon and lemon… if that won`t warm you up this fall, I don`t know what will!

The Fancy-Pants Brunch – Herringbone

Bottomless rosé, raspberry pop tarts, breakfast pizza and an oyster bar, Herringbone in La Jolla has-it-all this fall. Herringbone, if you didn’t know, is another hit-restaurant from celebrity chef, Brian Malarkey.

According to their website, “It’s all about `Fish Meats Field,’ where farm fresh cuisine meets an emphasis on line-caught seafood and meats.”

Brunch on the Bay – Tom Ham`s Lighthouse

With free flowing champagne, a raw bar with fresh catch and an omelet station, Tom Ham`s Lighthouse offers one of SD’s best brunch menus.

It’s also one of the city`s architectural landmarks. You can have your pancakes and eat them too, while you look out onto the San Diego Bay and Coronado Bridge.

Brunch and Beer – Breakfast Republic

Breakfast Republic has a unique breakfast menu that everyone should try! There’s nearly no limit to your choices of unusual breakfast fare.

Try the the Vietnamese chicken wing breakfast bowl, breakfast bacon Mac ‘n Cheese or breakfast hot dogs. Or you could grub-down with their sweet spin on the classics like churro or Oreo pancakes.

Besides the amazing menu, Breakfast Republic offers a great list of local craft beers!

The Hipster Pick – Masters Kitchen & Cocktail

Masters Kitchen & Cocktail in Oceanside is a renovated historic building that was originally Masters Automotive and Machine Shop dating back to 1938.

The brunch menu is small but mighty, offering loco moco, stuffed french toast and other staple items. Pair any breakfast choice with their Cold Coffee Cocktail or their Catalina Wine Mixer!

America`s Finest – Great Maple

Great Maple made it onto OpenTable`s 100 Best Brunch Restaurants in America for 2016 and Zagat describes the setting at Great Maple as “Mad Men Chic.”

There’s everything from incredibly delicious maple-bacon doughnuts, to healthy vegan hash. While you’re at it, you definitely want to get into the fancy coffee drinks and cocktails.

This farm fresh menu has something for everybody.

So, what are you doing this weekend? Throw on your boots and warm yourself up with a hot coffee and a nice boozy beverage while indulging at one of these amazing brunch options with family and friends.
