Bivouac Ciderworks North Park Celebrates 5-Year Anniversary With An All-Day Event
San Diego cider pioneer, Bivouac Ciderworks, will celebrate the 5-year anniversary of its North Park tap room with an all-day event on Saturday, January 28th featuring an exclusive collaboration – with Julian’s Storum Ranch Cider & Wine, which crafts traditional ciders made solely from apples grown in their Julian orchard.
For the occasion, the two local cideries have collaborated on a limited-time, single-varietal Dabinett apple cider flight, exploring the traditional English bittersweet cider apple that originates from Somerset, England and is widely regarded as the finest cider apple in the world.
The apple cider flight ($16) will feature:
- Julian Dabinett apple cider made with wild yeast (Storum)
- Julian Dabinett apple cider made with white wine yeast (Storum)
- English Dabinett apple (sourced from Stocks Farm, a women-led 200 year-old hop and apple farm in Western England) cider made with English Cider Yeast (Bivouac)
The Bivouac Ciderworks North Park anniversary event will also mark the premier of a short film, capturing Bivouac’s owner Lara Worm and team visiting the UK, including Stocks Farm where Biv’s “apple juice” is sourced.
In addition to the collab apple cider flight, the festive day will feature a special menu by returning Chef Gilberto Morales, live music, and 5-year anniversary merch for purchase. Plus, discounts on cider and a giveaway! The first 50 guests will receive a commemorative iron-on patch!
