WWH veterans can stay up to two years in the home on an as-needed basis while they receive support like counseling and rehabilitative services. This re-opening brings the total number of veterans housed through WWH up to fourteen veterans at a time.

The house has all new paint, several needed repairs and upgrades, remodeled bathrooms, and all new furnishings and kitchenware. Sponsors for the reopened home include Mechone, ServPro N. Vista/San Marcos, Collins Pacific Plumbing, and Forza HotMop.

The Mission

The mission of Wounded Warrior Homes is to provide transitional housing, hands-on resources and services, and a defined path for each member to transition to independent living. The nonprofit’s primary program provides affordable transitional housing as well as access to a wide variety of community-based programs such as recreation, job education, and placement, transportation, medical and dental services, veteran benefit specialists, and financial counseling. On-site services include case management, occupational therapy, behavioral therapy, and connecting veterans to the WWH food pantry.

Mia Roseberry, Executive Director of Wounded Warrior Homes, shared, “We want to thank the community for making this possible. We are so honored to receive so much support from volunteers and local business owners in making the much-needed repairs to the property and helping to reopen this home so that we can serve those veterans who have served our country.”
