The San Diego Museum of Art Unveils an Exciting Winter-Spring Season

The San Diego Museum of Art’s (SDMA) new exhibitions are set to bring an inspiring mix of history, culture, and artistic expression to Balboa Park this winter and spring.

With eight new exhibitions on display at SDMA and MOPA@SDMA, you can experience everything from groundbreaking photography and Modernist art to Mexican printmaking and Dutch Golden Age masterpieces.

A Season of Must-See Exhibitions

Women in Focus (February 1 to July 13, 2025)
Celebrating pioneering women photographers like Margaret Bourke-White and Dorothea Lange, this exhibition highlights how women have shaped photography from the 19th century to today.

Ruud van Empel: Theatre (February 8 to July 27, 2025)
Explore stunning digital collages that transform everyday landscapes into surreal dreamlike worlds.

For the People: Modern Printmaking in Mexico (February 15 to August 10, 2025)
A deep dive into how 20th-century Mexican printmakers used art as a tool for social change.

Shadows of Contemplation (February 22–Ongoing)

American Minimal (March 8 to June 1, 2025)
