Arts District Liberty Station Launches Open-Air Gallery and Unveils New Installations for 2025
There’s a new reason to stroll through Arts District Liberty Station this spring—the launch of their Open-Air Gallery, a fresh and interactive way to experience public art throughout this creative hub in Point Loma.
Now live with a bilingual digital tour, the Open-Air Gallery offers a self-guided experience through the district’s vibrant collection of murals, sculptures, and installations—many created as part of the Installations at the Station program.
Just scan a QR code at each artwork and dive into the stories, inspiration, and behind-the-scenes audio straight from the artists themselves.
A Walking Tour That Brings Public Art to Life
The Open-Air Gallery turns Liberty Station into a living museum. As you move through the walkable, palm-lined promenade, you’ll discover works that reflect the cultural depth of the San Diego-Baja region—each piece thoughtfully placed, freely accessible, and rooted in community.
And now, two bold new works are joining the 2025 Installations at the Station program lineup.
Meet the 2025 Artists: Mischka Ippolita and Beliz Iristay
Mischka Ippolita (Tijuana) brings a stained-glass-inspired mural titled Vitral Sunset to life behind Barracks 19. Her work blends marine landscapes, architecture, and microbiology to reflect the interconnected identities of San Diego and Baja.
Beliz Iristay (Ensenada) will debut Fuente Fantasma, a six-tiered ceramic fountain embedded with colorful alcancia figures—a playful, deeply symbolic tribute to border culture and community storytelling. Her sculpture will live near Barracks 16 and 17 along the North Promenade.
