Watch America’s Top Breakers Battle for a World Final Spot at Port Pavilion
San Diego has long been a pillar of breaking culture in the U.S., and this August, that legacy gets its biggest stage yet. The Red Bull BC One USA National Final is coming to Port Pavilion on Broadway Pier.
The nation’s top B-Boys and B-Girls will battle 1v1 for the national title and a spot at the World Final in Toronto. This is a world-class competition in a city that helped build the sport – tickets are all-ages and on sale now.
The Competitor Lineup
Sixteen B-Boys and sixteen B-Girls go head-to-head in elimination battles judged on technique, vocabulary, execution, originality, and musicality. The field runs deep.
Leading the charge is B-Boy Victor Montalvo, an Olympic bronze medalist and two-time Red Bull BC One World Champion, alongside rising names like B-Boy Lev from Honolulu and Las Vegas’s Jeyna Ponce.
Hometown favorite B-Girl Mar rounds out the local story – she locked in her spot with a win at the Red Bull BC One Cypher in Seattle and is bringing that momentum straight home to San Diego.
Hosts, Judges, and a Live Performance
Kid David and Ivan lead the show as hosts – two of the most respected figures in global breaking. The judging panel is equally formidable: Boston’s El Niño, Japan’s B-Girl Ayu, and three-time world champion Hong 10 from South Korea.
Rapper and television host Xzibit also takes the stage for a live performance on Saturday, rounding out a night that goes well beyond the battles themselves.
A Full Weekend of Breaking
The evening before, Jey and Eddie Styles lead a Footworkerz Workshop at Analog & Grit on Commercial Street, followed by an open battle for those who complete it. It’s a solid entry point before the main event takes over.
Later that night, the Last Chance Cypher opens prelims to local breakers competing for the final spots in the national bracket. The Lord of the Floor Exhibition Battle closes out the evening.
Workshops With World-Class Breakers
On Saturday, a public Breaking Workshop with B-Boy Moy kicks off before the National Final – open to breakers 16 and up. B-Girl Ayu and Eddie Styles also lead workshops throughout the weekend, offering rare, direct time with talent at the highest level of the sport
