Dance the Night Away at Otay Ranch Town Center’s Hispanic Heritage Celebration
Otay Ranch Town Center is kicking off Hispanic Heritage Month in style with its annual Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration.
Held at the Food Pavilion in the heart of Chula Vista, this free, family-friendly event pairs perfectly with the center’s weekly Farmers Market, which brings in a strong lineup of Hispanic and Latin-owned businesses and food vendors for the occasion.

A Grand Finale for Salsa Under the Stars
The evening doubles as the final night of the summer’s Salsa Under the Stars series, and this send-off is not to be missed.
The Manny Cepeda Orchestra quartet takes the stage for a pop-up salsa celebration packed with live music and basic dance instruction, so no partner and no experience is required. Just show up ready to move.
Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or trying your first steps, there’s a spot on the dance floor for you.
Live Music, Dance, and Cultural Performances
Beyond the salsa lineup, the celebration features folklorico dance performances that showcase the rich traditions of Hispanic and Latin culture.
Between sets, guests can look forward to meet-and-greet opportunities with themed characters, adding an extra dose of fun for the younger crowd.
The colorful costumes and rhythmic footwork make for one of the most photo-worthy moments of the night.
Sweet Treats and Kids’ Activities
No family festival is complete without treats and hands-on fun, and this one delivers on both fronts.
A face painter will be on hand alongside crafts and activities tied to Hispanic Heritage Month, plus sweet treats and giveaways throughout the evening.
It’s an easy way to keep kids engaged while the adults enjoy the music. Bring the little ones dressed for some face-painting fun, since lines tend to move quickly once the festivities kick off.
A Community Tradition Worth Celebrating
“Our annual Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration is a much-loved event for people to come together and honor the traditions and culture of our Hispanic community,” said Otay Ranch Town Center General Manager Tim Kilcourse.
“We pair the event with our weekly Farmers Market which features a large number of Hispanic and Latin themed businesses and food vendors, making it a fantastic family afternoon,” he added.
It’s a fitting way to launch a month dedicated to honoring that heritage.
