Grab a Chili Dog and Support Service Dogs at Wienerschnitzel in Oceanside
Paws for a cause! Wienerschnitzel is teaming up with Canine Companions, the Oceanside-born nonprofit that provides service dogs to people who need them, for a one-day fundraiser at the North Coast Highway restaurant.
Canine Companions serves veterans, adults, and children with disabilities, and this fundraiser helps carry that mission forward. Hot dogs, corn dogs, and service dogs, all for a good cause.

Eat Your Fill, Fund a Cause
Every food and drink order at the Oceanside location helps. Wienerschnitzel will donate 20 percent of all-day food and drink sales to Canine Companions, so lunch, dinner, and a late-night snack all count.
Just mention the fundraiser at checkout or show the flyer, and your order counts toward the donation. The more people who stop by, the more the organization can give back to veterans, adults, and children who need a service dog.

Say Hello to Future Service Dogs
Lunch comes with extra tail wags. Canine Companions volunteers will be on-site with service dogs and service dogs in training, and they’re happy to talk about how the organization works.
Expect plenty of the cutest puppies ever, so bring your appetite and your phone. It’s also a great chance to learn how service dogs help veterans, adults, and children with disabilities live with greater independence.
Oceanside’s Own Service Dog Mission
Canine Companions has provided hundreds of service dogs to veterans across the country, completely free of charge. Its Southwest Training Center is just minutes from this Wienerschnitzel, so the cause is practically a neighbor.
The dogs help with daily tasks, and they also help veterans regain independence, pride, and hope. Canine Companions has been at it since 1975, with regional training centers serving all 50 states.

A Fundraiser Timed for Veterans Day
The fundraiser lands just ahead of Veterans Day, and Wienerschnitzel has been supporting those who serve. The family-owned chain recently opened its first location on a naval base, at the Main Navy Exchange in San Diego.
It plans to expand to additional bases down the road. Pair that with a fundraiser for veterans’ service dogs, and it’s a meaningful way to say thanks.
See you there!
Bring your appetite and plenty of love for puppies. Every chili dog and corn dog you order helps put a service dog with someone who needs one.
