Birch Aquarium’s Summer Camps are back, offering an exciting season of ocean exploration for kids who love marine life, hands-on science, and outdoor adventures! From tide pool discoveries to snorkeling and even surfing, these camps provide unforgettable experiences led by expert educators.

Birch Aquarium’s camps are designed for kids ages four to 13, with half-day and full-day programs that blend education and adventure. Whether your little explorer wants to meet ocean creatures up close, create marine-inspired art, or dive into the waves, there’s something for every budding marine biologist.

Birch Aquarium’s Summer Camps

What to Expect

  • Half-Day Camps (Ages 4-5) – Engage in hands-on activities, games, crafts, and live animal encounters right at the aquarium. Themes include “Sea Slugs” and “Sea Squirts.”
  • Full-Day Camps (Ages 6-7) – Explore unique ocean habitats, learn about marine life, and participate in interactive science activities.
  • Full-Day Camps (Ages 8-10 & 11-13) – Older campers get to snorkel, surf, and explore coastal ecosystems through immersive experiences at La Jolla Shores.
